Grants of $10,000 to teams of USA and territories community nonprofit organizations and Native American youth and young adults for social action programs that will benefit the local indigenous community. Community nonprofits will mentor one Native American youth through the process of completing the project.

Running Strong for American Indian Youth® believes in the dreams of young American Indians: creating stronger communities, overcoming poverty, and building a better tomorrow for themselves and their families.

The Dreamstarter Grant includes:

- Grants/Awards: $10,000 grant award from Running Strong for American Indian Youth to help make their dream come true. It also includes an “I am a Dreamstarter” $500 award for the Applicant at the successful completion of the grant period.

- Every Dreamstarter with his or her mentor organization will be sent to an all-expenses paid, four-day Dreamstarter Academy training workshop hosted in Washington, DC by Running Strong.

Projects must be completed: 6/30/2023

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants must apply in partnership with a registered 501©3 or 7871 nonprofit organization, known as the Mentor Organization.
2. Applicants must be enrolled in a state or federally recognized tribal nation.
3. Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 30 at the time of application
